AHS MAV Student Competition

This low cost, lightweight, coaxial-rotor MAV is capable of full attitude control with only two actuators. The vehicle streams video to a ground station, which can be used to remotely pilot the vehicle.  Our design was  awarded an honorable mention in the 3rd Annual American Helicopter Society Student Competition.

I worked alongside a PhD student, grad student, and fellow undergrad, primarily focusing on propeller hub design.

Propeller Hub

I designed and fabricated the propeller hub using numerous techniques and materials such as silicone molding, polyurethane molding, and 3D printed polypropylene. This process spanned across my summer internship and into the school year, up to the competition.
