Heat Engine
This Gamma Type Stirling Engine converts heat energy to kinetic energy, which is then stored in the flywheel. It features three types of metals: 6061 Aluminum, 303 Stainless Steel, and C360 Brass. All of the components are hand-machined, using a variety of techniques and machinery.

Key Features
Concentric Circles
The concentric circles of the flywheel stay visually consistent whether the engine is stationary or in motion.
The "S" shaped base plate has a symmetric outer profile, while an asymmetric pocket in the interior of the base helps to offset the visual weight of the flywheel.
Gamma Type Stirling Engine
The tail of the engine is heated using a butane torch. The increased temperature inside the tail leads to high pressure, causing the air to expand and drive the piston. The piston stroke then turns the flywheel which is irregularly weighted, allowing the piston to return to its beginning point and start a new cycle.
